As a child I would fly a Peter Powell diamond stunt kite, blue with a long red tail, living on a hill on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors there was never really a shortage of wind. After that I progressed to Spirit of Air Delta stunt kites in my late teens. After a long rest from kites I decided that in order to get some exercise I should treat myself to a new kite. It was then I remembered the power kites I had watched with envy on the beach at Scarborough...

So after some research I purchased my first power kite. I excitedly unpacked my new 3.0 M Ozone Flow. At the time I had no idea the path I had just turned down and the slippery slope around the corner. I flew my kite at every opportunity, with anyone and anywhere I could find. Now 10 months later I have 6 kites, a buggy and a board, I hunt the forecasts, I try to predict, I watch the trees like a hawk but most of all, whenever I can and maybe too often, I chase the wind.
